In its monthly report, the monitoring team of the Future Partners for Development and Human Rights announced that 727 cases of human rights violations committed in Yemen were monitored in February 2020. The team announced that 15 cases had been identified as a victim of artillery, killing 5 civilians, including a man, 2 women and one child, and wounding 10 civilians, including 3 men, 2 women and 5 children.
The team documented 474 cases of arbitrary detention among civilians, and the disappearance of 12 others. And 3 students were kidnapped while returning from school amid security chaos.
The team also observed that 11 houses were burned and demolished, and 2 mosques were destroyed, 2 private hospitals, one international organization and one hotel were destroyed.
The team monitored 16 houses that were broken into, while their contents were looted, as well as 2 universities, a ministry building, and a hospital that were stormed, in addition to 1 university student residence and one mosque, and the intrusion and closure of 2 women's cafes under the pretext that they were places for mixing.
The field team at the Future Partners Foundation monitored the killing of 35 civilians with air strikes, including 9 men and 26 children, and wounding 23 civilians, including 5 women and 18 children.
The report stated that during the month of February, Yemen witnessed 2 cases of rape of a woman and a girl, and 7 cases of suicide, including 4 men, 2 women and 1 child, as the phenomenon increased significantly every month.
